Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is eBackpack?
A: eBackpack is a product designed specifically for educators. eBackpack allows for teachers and students to safely and securely store files online. eBackpack is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection, so you are no longer confined to having files locally within the school or classroom. eBackpack also allows for teachers to set up classes and groups so they can easily share files with a specific set of users. The users can also turn in assignments through a homework drop-box. eBackpack makes using cloud storage simple and fast for educators.
Q: What is cloud storage?
A: Cloud storage is the model of networked online storage where data is stored on multiple systems providing redundancy and fault tolerance.
Q: What is the cost for eBackpack?

After the 14 day trial, you have the option of selecting the free individual plan or any of the other paid levels (class, teacher, or school/district). Q: Are you E-Rate eligible?

A: An e-Portfolio is a collection of electronic evidence assembled and managed by a user. For most educators this would entail a historical documentation of any or all achievements, academic recognitions, personal works or any other important digital copy.
Q: How much storage space is allowed?
A: The amount of storage space is dependent on the product level you choose. During the 14 day free trial, you will have the same features as the teacher plan. At the end of the trial, you may choose which product level suits your needs. They range from 3 GB to Unlimited storage.
Q: Does eBackpack work on the iPad?
A: Yes! The entire classroom workflow is available on the iPad. With the dedicated eBackpack iPad app you can assign, grade, return, and store all of your classroom assignments.
Q: What is the largest upload size per file?
A: The max file upload size is dependent on the product level you choose. During the 14 day free trial, you will have the same features as the teacher plan, which includes a max file upload size of 20MB. At the end of the trial, you may choose which product level suits your needs. eBackpack offers plans for schools and districts from 20MB to 2 GB max upload size. You can even upload multiple files at the same time!
Q: What are versions of a file?
A: eBackpack allows you to save multiple versions of a single file. This can be helpful as you always have access to previously saved versions and can reference them or even revert back to a previously saved version of a specific file. Versions are also helpful when working with students as you can make notations on a file and then return it to a student. The student is then able to have their original version for reference as well as the notated version you have returned to them.

Q: Where can I access eBackpack from?
